RETINAL IMAGING
OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY (OCT)
The OCT is a non-invasive imaging test that takes images of your retina.
With the OCT, we can see each layer of the retina and this helps to diagnosis and provide guidance for treating different eye diseases. Some retinal disease that the OCT may help with are: glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic eye diseases, and macular holes.
RETINAL PHOTOS
A retinal photo captures a detailed image of the back of the eye, specifically the retina. This image helps in detecting and monitoring various eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cancer of the eye. It provides a baseline for comparison over time, assisting the doctors in making diagnoses and creating effective treatment plans for each patient.
